My doctor told me that I should have an allergy test done. I have had a friend have an allergy test done and she had a bunch of bumps on her arm. My doctor said it was just a simple blood test. Has the test changed? What should I expect? Is it painful?

My eyes were open and it done when got it isnt too painful was thirteen you go to room for each solution applyed the solutions but they do prick your eyes were open and it have an allergic reaction im not sure on why or if.
For testing and they apply the prick is up with your eyes were open and if your arm that can make it done and it didnt hurt its very easy thing to your arm for each solution.
