After a walk through the park this morning, I know it’s going to be a rough couple of months. I plan on buying antihistamines later today but what else can you suggest to combat spring allergies. I love being outside so don’t tell me to stay in. Also anything for inside my apartment?

    1. Farm bred, grain fed, all natural Says:

Find a local beekeeper and purchase honey from him. The local honey has the nectar of the plants that are giving you the allergies and ingesting it will give you some immunity.

    2. caffsans Says:

you should have a puffer for this and keep it on you all the time =they help a lot

      Check out CureZone website at.
Beware: lots of photos of liver stones, gallstones etc.

I regularly do liver cleanses and gallbladder flushes just before spring arrives to alleviate my hayfever symptoms. And it does work for me (symptoms are much lighter). It is also helpful for many other symptoms and conditions. There are also other types of cleanses that you can do. Do a search on that website as it contains tons of information.

      Other links: (see under Allergies)

Other things you can do in conjuction are:
      - liver flushes/cleanses
      - colon cleanses
      - eat raw celery sticks every day for about 2 weeks. Juicing works too (in addition to your normal food).
      - taking butterbur and nettles
      - nasal irrigation with a neti pot
      - drink lots of water

I have not tried/done ALL the above. I could not stomach raw celery for extending periods of time ;) and I cannot find where to buy butterbur and nettles.

Sometimes if my symptoms get worse and I dont have any medication, or dont want to take any, I put some Vicks Vaporub on a Q-tip and rub the insides of my nose. This is to coat the nostrils so the pollen does not come into direct contact with the nasal lining. This is for me a short term solution.

There is also a Master Cleanse at the Curezone website which had worked wonders for many people but I have not attempted that yet.

At least during spring time, avoid:
      - milk
      - refined white flour
      - processed foods (so eat lots of whole foods)

Of course you know your body best and do what you can safely do.

      All the best.

i have the exact same problem.
once my allergies get going , it seems theres no stopping them! my favorite remedy is a bendryl and a long nap, however that isn’t always practical.
i always make sure to wash my sheets/blankets often(every week or two) & vaccum my room to keep the dust and what not under control. air out your space every now and then. also be sure to drink alot of water, it helps me at least. good luck!

Along with the above, I would suggest that you wash your face often to remove pollen. Especially the eyelashes, which can trap pollen and give you eye allergies. Also, if you have glasses or sunglasses you should regularly rinse them with water to get rid of pollen.

    6. oc_me07 Says:

Go to your doctor and they will put youon a stronger more effective medicine thet will rid allergies If you cant get to the doctor right away try Claritan D everyday or Alavert

    7. Disney Fan Says:

Any antihistamines you take, just make sure you take them at night before bed, they only work well at night.

Also, I’ve found that only Zyrtec works for me. That’s prescription so you’ll need the doctor for it.
