There is a reason board certified allergists don't do intradermal skin testing to foods - there is no scientific validity to perform this type of test for allergies or food intolerance. Further, intradermal skin testing is associated with fatal allergic reactions in food allergic individuals.

Anyone you find who is willing to do intradermal skin test to foods is a quack and needs to be avoided.

Prick skin testing is very useful for food (and environmental allergies). Judicious use of intradermal skin testing for environmental allergies is fine. Intradermal skin testing is mostly for the evaluation of flying insect allergies.

Now, the symptoms that you describe could very well be food intolerance reactions. There are blood tests for celiac disease, but most other food intolerance issues don't have scientifically proven tests. There are alot of quacks out there that will offer you various tests, they are costly (cash/credit card only) and flipping a coin will give you the same results without emptying your bank account. The best thing for that is food diary and avoidance trials at home.

I urge you to see a board certified physician to get an evaluation of your problems.

Have you looked under Allergists M.D. - I went to one here in S.W. Missouri and quite frankly it was a huge waste of money!

After weeks of horrid tests they DID discover my allergies and sensitivities, but could do little to erase them!
